These are the terms for using zentio, the trip planner at zentio.travel, its web app, and its mobile app (together, “zentio” or “the service”). They are a contract between you and zentio travel, a business registered in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico (“we” or “us”). We have kept them short and in plain language on purpose; that does not make them any less binding.
By creating an account or using zentio you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with your data. If you do not agree, please do not use zentio.
The agreement
Who can use zentio. You must be at least 18 years old. If you are using zentio on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for them.
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms as zentio changes. When we do, we update the date at the top. For changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will tell you in the app or by email at least seven days before they take effect, so you can stop using zentio if you disagree. Changes needed for security, bug fixes, or to comply with a court order can take effect immediately. Continuing to use zentio after a change takes effect means you accept it.
The whole agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about zentio. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we can still enforce it later.
The service
zentio lets you build trip itineraries, attach bookings and documents, plan with the people you are traveling with, track and split expenses, generate itinerary drafts with AI, and export your plans to PDF or Google Calendar.
It is free. There are no paid plans and we do not collect payment details. If we ever introduce paid features, we will publish the prices and terms first, and nothing you already use will start costing money without your agreement.
It is a planning tool, not a travel agent. zentio does not sell tickets, book hotels, or provide travel advice. Information shown in the app, whether entered by you, by someone you travel with, drawn from Google Maps, or generated by AI, can be wrong or out of date. Always confirm times, prices, and availability with the provider before you rely on them. We are not responsible for a missed flight, a closed museum, or a hotel that does not exist.
It will change. We add, alter, and occasionally remove features. If we ever shut zentio down or remove a feature that holds your data, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get your data out.
Your account
- One person, one account. Keep your details accurate and your email inbox secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Everything done through your account is your responsibility, so tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.
- Signing in with Google is optional. If you use it, Google’s terms also apply to that sign-in.
- You can leave at any time. Profile → Delete account removes your account and everything in it, immediately and permanently. Trips you own are deleted for everyone you shared them with, so hand them over first if others still need them.
- We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used to harm other people or zentio, or that we are required by law to close. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you and give you a chance to fix the problem, or to export your data, first.
Your content
“Your content” means everything you put into zentio: trips, events, notes, to-do lists, expenses, uploaded files, photos you choose, and messages to the assistant.
It stays yours. We claim no ownership of your content. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store it, back it up, display it to you and to the people you share a trip with, process it with the features you use (including sending the relevant parts to our AI provider when you use an AI feature), and move it between the systems described in the Privacy Policy. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the backup window described in the Privacy Policy and for expenses and payments you took part in on trips someone else owns, which stay with that trip without your name, as the Privacy Policy explains. We will never sell your content, use it in advertising, or use it to train AI models.
You are responsible for it. Only upload or enter content you have the right to use. Booking confirmations and tickets you receive are fine. Someone else’s copyrighted material, other people’s personal data they have not agreed to share, and anything illegal are not. If a third party claims that your content infringes their rights, you will deal with that claim, not us.
Sharing with travel companions. When you add someone to a trip, you are choosing to show them that trip in full, including its expenses and uploads, at the role you give them (viewer, editor, or owner). Editors and owners can change and delete things in the trip, including things you added. Only share a trip with people you trust with it. Invitations sent by email expire if they are not accepted.
Photos from Unsplash. Cover photos you pick from the built-in search come from Unsplash under the Unsplash License, and their photographer credit stays attached.
Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, you agree we can use them to improve zentio without owing you anything. You keep any rights in the underlying idea.
We may remove content that is illegal, that infringes someone’s rights, or that breaks these terms. If we do, we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Our content
zentio itself, meaning the software, its design, the zentio name and logo, and the text and images on our website, belongs to us or to the people who license it to us. You may use zentio for your own personal, non-commercial trip planning, and you may share with others the itineraries and exports you create in it. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or build a competing product from zentio itself. The details are in What you may not do.
What you may not do
Use zentio for planning trips, yours and those of the people you travel with. Do not use it to:
- Break in or break things. No probing or bypassing our security, no interfering with the service or the systems behind it, no uploading malware, and no putting an unreasonable load on zentio through automation.
- Scrape or automate. No bots, scripts, or scrapers that create accounts, pull data out of zentio, or use its features in bulk, except through interfaces we publish for that purpose.
- Copy the product. No copying, reselling, sublicensing, or reverse engineering zentio’s software, and no using it to build a competing service.
- Abuse the AI features. No circumventing the usage allowance, and no using the generator or assistant to produce content that is illegal or harmful to others.
- Harm other people. No harassing, impersonating, or deceiving anyone, no uploading content you have no right to use, and no adding people to trips in order to spam them.
- Break the law, or help anyone else to.
If you do any of this, we may remove the content involved, suspend or close your account, and, where it is serious, report it to the authorities. We do not routinely monitor what people put into their trips, but we will look when something is reported to us or when our systems flag a problem.
Other companies’ services
zentio connects to services run by other companies, and each of them has its own terms and privacy policy:
- Google provides sign-in, Calendar export, maps, and place search.
- YouTube hosts the product video on our website.
- GetYourGuide provides the tour recommendations on our website and inside the app. If you book a tour through those links, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. The booking is between you and GetYourGuide.
- Links in your trips to airlines, hotels, and other websites take you off zentio.
We do not control these services and are not responsible for what they show you, what they charge, or what they do with your data. Check their terms before you rely on them, and read the Privacy Policy for which of them see any of your data.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content in zentio infringes a copyright you own, email [email protected] with a link or description of the content, the work you say it infringes, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized. We will review it promptly, remove content that infringes, and tell the person who uploaded it. Knowingly sending a false complaint can make you liable for the damage it causes, so if you are unsure, ask a lawyer first.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms. zentio runs on servers in Germany. If you use it from somewhere with different data protection laws, you accept that your data is transferred to and processed in Germany, and by the providers named in the Privacy Policy.
Ending the agreement
You can end it whenever you like by deleting your account. That removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy, and nothing further is owed either way.
We can end it by closing your account if you breach these terms, if we are legally required to, or if we discontinue zentio. Except where the breach is serious or the law prevents it, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem or to export your data. If we close your account for a serious breach, you may not open a new one.
What survives. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as Your content, Disclaimer, Limits on our liability, and Governing law, keep applying after the agreement ends.
Disclaimer
zentio is provided as it is and as available. We work hard to keep it accurate, secure, and online, but we cannot promise that it will be free of errors or interruptions, that every itinerary detail will be correct, or that it will suit every purpose. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Travel decisions you make based on what you see in zentio are yours.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of zentio, including missed travel, lost bookings, lost profits, or lost data, even if we have been told they were possible. For everything else, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim arose. Since zentio is free, in practice this means our obligation is to fix the problem, not to pay compensation.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, for gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence still apply, and where they do not allow a limit above, the limit is the lowest the law permits.
Your responsibility to us
If your content, your breach of these terms, or your misuse of zentio causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you will cover the losses and reasonable legal costs that claim causes us. We will tell you about the claim promptly, let you take the lead in defending it if you wish, and cooperate with you.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico.
If you have a problem with zentio, write to us first at [email protected]. Most issues are misunderstandings or bugs, and we would rather fix them than argue about them. We will try to resolve any dispute informally with you for at least thirty days before either of us goes further.
If that fails, the courts of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of zentio, and you and we both agree to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a country whose law entitles you to bring claims in your local courts, that right is not affected.
Notices and electronic agreement
We will send notices to the email address on your account, and you agree that email and messages shown inside zentio satisfy any requirement that a notice be in writing. You also agree that clicking to accept, creating an account, and using zentio are valid ways of entering into this agreement, with the same effect as a signature.
Other terms
- Transfer. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them to a successor if zentio is sold or merged into another company, and we will tell you if that happens.
- Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our providers, natural disasters, or actions of governments.
- No partnership. These terms do not make you and us partners, employer and employee, or agents of each other.
- Language. These terms are written in English. A Spanish courtesy translation may be provided; if the two differ, the English version applies.
